I purchased coins from this site before. Delivery was slightly delayed, the parcel arrived on the 5th day after cleared payment.

hmmm seems inventory didn't update after order (it doesn't appear to be live), so not sure if my order will go through or not, someone may have got in before me tongue

It was live and well before I posted that link, in fact I just purchased a bunch from them. Maybe I purchased the last batch them have, either that or PerthMint withdraw the listing from stamps.com.au.

At any rate my order seem to come through, got the confirmation email and all smile

I was going to buy a few nemos from there.

Re: Perth Mint - Australian Sea Life

Finally got a very large box of Nemo's from the mint on Friday.

My COA numbers are in the 8000's, and I ordered very soon after they were released (from memory, within 12hrs).

Should give some idea of how fast they went out the door.

Still showing "Unavailable Online" - anyone tried ordering by phone, do they still have a few left?

Price should start going bonkers when they finally announce 'sold out'.

I'm guessing they would love to announce 'sold out' on the Leafy Sea Dragon first though....

"Gee a lot for sale on e-bay"

They have only just been released... the cheaper ones are being snatched up quickly - great opportunity until the Mint puts up the 'no more left' sign.

Interesting you got the 8000s. The COA is not an indication to the number of coins sold by the mint, but still would suggest the production was probably completed with the total mintage on the first shot.

Re: Perth Mint - Australian Sea Life

Looks like the market has dropped out on these (clownfish) on eBay, latest sale at $57 + $8 postage...I still think holding these for at least a couple more months will be the go.
Probably not helped by the low Silver price.

I didn't learn my lesson after my last fiasco with coloured coins.
I vowed not to play these types of coins again but got lured back into the mania pool and now I am barely treading water again.
The only consolation at this stage is I am not underwater as I am with my previous attempt.
Hopefully the Clownfish will make some progress soon so I can dump it.
Otherwise it looks like I will be holding them until the Eel makes an appearance as no one seems to like the Sea Horse.
I think the Treasures of Australia "Gold Nuggets" is cornering all the hype and the interest of flippers right now and every other coin is being overshadowed or old news.

"latest sale at $57 + $8 postage"

That was the sellers own fault!!!

He didn't even have the words "silver" or "coin" in his listing title.

He deserves a low price tongue

P.S. Downies still have a few for sale at issue price.

Re: Perth Mint - Australian Sea Life

I received the latest Numisnews from M R Roberts today.
On page 14 they have wanted ads for the Lion and Clown fish.
May be helpful to someone wanting to sell their surplus coins and make a small profit.
I didn't check on what they are offering but I don't think they are going to be too generous
They are setting two coin limits on the Sea Dragon.

I must say I am quite surprised they lasted as long as they did - Downies must have had quite a swag of them!!

Perth Mint still not willing to announce 'sold out'.

Re: Perth Mint - Australian Sea Life

Anyone get their order from the Australia Post shop yet? Been 2 weeks and my order still hasn't arrived...

Going price seems to be about $65-70 including post for the Nemos at the moment, not spectacular but think it will likely take off again around the release of the next two coins.

Thinking about dropping a couple of the low COA # coins onto eBay and seeing what they get.

Re: Perth Mint - Australian Sea Life

I wonder if there will be a second series in this line.

The fact that its called Australian Sea Life: The Reef makes me think there might be a follow up like Australian Sea Life: The Antarctic with whales, penguins, seals, etc.

Re: Perth Mint - Australian Sea Life

Perth Mint finally put 'Sold Out' on the website for ClownFish.

As expected, they made sure the sold out sign was on the Leafy Sea Dragon a couple days before-hand - dodgy promotional buggers!!!

Of course the ClownFish was sold-out first, but they won't admit it.

I emailed for an update and got a reply today that my order has been escalated to the manager as they don't believe they will be able to fill it, so will be interesting to see what happens. Might just cancel the order if they can't fill the whole thing...stick with the 50 I already have.

Re: Perth Mint - Australian Sea Life

Anybody knows why Nemo is dropping in price in eBay? A few weeks ago they are selling for $75-$85 each. Now they're selling for $65, one guy selling nemo for $55!?

Why the price drop especially after the coins are sold out at Perthmint and no longer in production?

Re: Perth Mint - Australian Sea Life

Too many speculators that don't want to hold driving down the price probably. Lionfish took until the release of clownfish to really take off, wouldn't be surprised to see the same sort of timing for clownfish, higher prices IMHO coming around the release of the next 2 coins when interest in the series picks up again. Can't really know for sure though.
