Re: Hello and welcome!

Thanks Roo and Numi.

I am sure I will get to know you all as I delve deeper into a sea of silver and gold (and pt metals), coupled with a bout of insanity and frivolous spending!

pray for me

Re: Hello and welcome!

Hi all,

I am vish just started buying gold and silver (well start of this year) I been checking out this forum for a while now and thought it would be better to register. Gold and silver are not new to me, being an Indian it runs in our blood, just like whiskey and cognac. I am not obsessed with them but I do love them. Looking forward to interact with all of you.

Re: Hello and welcome!

Howdy all. Staffstuff from Qld joining in. I believe that long term industrial demand for silver will be just as important a price driver as PM as real money sentiment. Hence I save my pennies and buy whatever size bars I can when I can.

I also stack '66 50 cents because I like them. Have way too many of these but can't seem to stop.

Cheers

Re: Hello and welcome!

Welcome!

I'm a bit of a fan of the 1966 50c myself - been trying to stack a few from eBay in dribbles here and there. I've won 2 out of the last 75 auctions... but my ceiling bid is under $7, and a lot of people are paying this or slightly higher while ignoring postage costs. They're certainly in demand.

Re: Hello and welcome!

Dan from Sydney....and like a couple of other members am a fan of realcent....
And another one called coincommunity....both only found in the last week....

today at work wanted to find a dedicated AU (aussie) site and typed Silver Hoarder into google and
found this place.....Love IT....

been into PM,s about 5 years now....I started my own little revolution by turning my fiat currency into the oldest and most truthfull
money......Gold/Silver....

i work in financial services and only have come accross 2 other people with the same ideas....Money is a sham and fractional reserve banking is a fraud.....creating dollars out of thin air is the same as stealing.....governments and banks are legally allowed to enslave the masses with the yoke of debt......

gotta get back to work...ha

Re: Hello and welcome!

Welcome aboard DSK!  I had this site recommended to me by Hobo-Jo, who was a regular on another site I used to visit for discussion of property.  I'm not a property investor myself (in fact, I'm quite anti-property!) and knowing I had a perchant for Precious Metals, he recommended this site not only for the active discussion, but also as a good source for getting cheaper metals.

So far, I'm delighted to have come across and have started collecting my silver.

All it's done is light a fire in my belly to acquire more.

A LOT more...

smile

I agree with your analogy on fiat & debt though DSK.  I live in Sydney and the debt our society has allowed itself to fall into for the sake of shelter honestly staggers me.

I had a few mates at work today hold some of the silver I purchased and the look in their eyes was unmistakable.  I think it's the same feeling we all get when we have the PMs sitting in our hands.  You KNOW it's real wealth you're holding and it really makes you want to acquire it.

After 5 years, I can only imagine how much you've managed to acquire!  Maybe you'll have to post up a few photos of your stash some time?

Collection photos for PM nuts is the equivalent of porn.

hehehe

Anyway, welcome aboard!

Re: Hello and welcome!

Hi all,
just found the site yesterday and loved it... but disappointed to find another addictive site to compete with the finite time.

I've been collecting for 1.5years but the most recent purchases were singles on the sly - the wife doesn't appreciate the true extent of my interest. I love both bars and coins but lean slightly to the bar side. I love to look at them when nobody is watching big_smile

Anyway i've seen some members around the last year or so.
Thanks guys, looking forward to interacting.
