Fake 25th Anniversary Panda Set Found!!!
How to tell the fake?
The fake 25th Anniversary coin set packing box is dissimilar, is two sides links buckling, does not bring the lock, the box color also to have a difference with the real coin set box. The certificate is made with non-Renminbi paper, and the number looks slightly fuzzily. The coins' superficial effect is worse, and packing with plastic film.
Here are some images of the fake 25th: box 1, box 2, certificate (fuzzily), coins (coins at the right side are fakes packing with plastic film)

The box in these pictures looks nothing like the one I have, the one I have looks exactly like the authentic one:

There must either be different fake sets doing the rounds or perhaps as suggested earlier in thread the coins have been swapped out...

....hope you get your money back......
If not sell it as a "super error" coin on ebay.
- error mule, error thickness, error design, error metal content, error weight, limited mintage.
Should go for a huge amount with all the errors.. a collector's dream! ![]()

Just make sure you send it back by full registered post mate. I've been burned by Ebay auctions in the past by forgetting that minor detail on a return. Paypal require the proof or won't refund a cent.

Seller refunded in full including postage both ways. Can't have asked for a smoother return really. Nothing lost except some of my time, but it was a learning experience so worthwhile in my opinion ![]()

A big Thank you also too: "Captain Kookaburra", & " goldpelican ". For bringing this story to closure.
Cheers mates, was a great learning curve for all I feel.
Also makes excellent archive material for future/New stacker's. Beware the Panda Bear.

Still looking for a genuine 1993 1oz silver panda to complete my panda set.

Tried downies? You'll pay through the nose for it, but as least you'll know it's legit.

This is the one!
Is this for sale? I can also swap for other years, or other silver product on the same value bases.

Unfortunately this is my only piece in my collection. There are 1 or 2 listed on ebay US currently but a bit pricey. Do scout ebay Germany regularly as sometimes there will listing as well. I get most of my pandas from German listings. Hope this helps.

I got one of the small date 93 today, and that is completes my 1oz panda set.
I’m still thinking if it is worth to go after the different varieties on the earlier versions.
