Re: Its been 24 hours

Yeah vape with nicotine is the best way, then you can just lower your strength till your just smoking oil.

That way your still relieving the habit of drawing the cigarette,

Can get some awesome flavours too (blue smurf cake, banana strawberry, toffee) big_smile

Good luck!

Wish I could stop smoking but I think I'd fail after an hour.

Re: Its been 24 hours

Smoked for 15+ years and just quit on NYE

Have not had a smoke since, so currently 9 days in, and I know I will never again now - it's a mental thing - if you really want to quit, you can

I'm just using patches for now - don't see the point in using vapes etc because it doesn't break the habit of physically smoking, but what I've learnt that "each to their own" applies when quitting because different things work for different people

Good Luck, you (we) can do it! smile

Re: Its been 24 hours

Good luck mate.
If it does get to much go get a vape as they really work for the cravings and WAY WAY better for you than fags.
Hope you can stick it out and just remember that if you give in and have a fag it is not all over just get back on the horse and go again.

Re: Its been 24 hours

Nicotine is out of your body in 3 days.

LOTS & LOTS of water.

Your mind is a VERY powerful tool.

Walk, breath, SCREAM.

Hang in there............................

Re: Its been 24 hours

And remember, instead of buying a pack every day or two, you could buy a nice 1oz bullion coin every day or two instead, or 4-5 ounces of gold per year!

36 years since I stopped.

Avoid all the triggers for the first few days, coffee, big meals, sex, etc.

Re: Its been 24 hours

I did the "not today, tomorrow" thing.

And as we know, tomorrow never comes.

p.s. hard times are body clock things.
3 days, 7 days, 3 months, 7 years.

That's a bit rough for the old birdman. Surely he has greater reason to celebrate such a scenario that most of us?

Check out Alan Carr's "easy way to stop smoking"

I know a number of people who stopped for good from just reading the book

Re: Its been 24 hours

I  quit my heavy smoking habit 35 years ago, and have not wanted to take it up again. Best thing I ever did.  I put the half smoked pack of cigarettes in the pantry, then quit.  I told myself that packet of cigarettes was not going to beat me.  About two years after, I moved and found that half pack.  I tossed it into the rubbish, having forgotten that it was sitting  there.
Try to fast forward a few years to imagine how it feels to have clear breathing,  no nasty smell emanating  from your clothes and no nico breath.
Good luck.
