Not suprising for this time of year. Interesting to note that some contract drivers are receiving $1.00 per parcel.

$1 per delivery if correct is what they accepted isn't.
It's like people who bought cheap house next to the new Sydney airport complaining about noise and lowering of house prices

The other company is $2.50 if the driver is lucky.

No wonder the driver is always in a hurry.

Re: The "Australia Post" Thread

Rather than wading through all of the post here has anyone used Postmate other than me ?

I used it just before Christmas and despite my best efforts to stuff it up all went well surprisingly  hmm

Yes I made one phone call which was picked up quickly and gave me the peace of mind I was seeking.

So Postmate using my new Portland Oregon USA postal address gets a thumbs up from me.

Happy New Year  smile

Re: The "Australia Post" Thread

I think they are just taking the piss now - I went to two different Auspost outlets this afternoon to find them both closed.
On third attempt I went to one of their business centres to be told its an "Australia Post Public Holiday" and I could lodge articles if I wished but there were no drivers coming to pick anything up so they would just sit there overnight.

Anyone ever heard of this before?

Re: The "Australia Post" Thread

28 Dec is a Public Holiday for Auspost award staff only sad

Does not apply to StarTrack, Auspost Contractors or Auspost Contract Staff.

It's a left over from the old 'Picnic Day'.

Most Auspost back at work tomorrow except HQ staff who have been directed to take leave until 6 Jan.
