It won't make much of a difference, they probably just want to gauge how many people are on the hype train tongue

Re: Tech firm aiming its sights at brokers: Robinhood - free brokerage

They have just announced Robinhood Instant - no more 3 day waiting for deposits or proceeds of sales to clear before being able to re-invest. Again, there's a waitlist you can get bumped up if you can refer someone.

My signup link is http://tinyurl.com/zt75xyp - there's no affiliate commissions etc, I just get bumped up a waitlist for the new feature set if you sign up via that link the first time and open an account.

Re: Tech firm aiming its sights at brokers: Robinhood - free brokerage

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD WILL THEY HURRY UP WITH THIS AUSTRALIAN LAUNCH.

I'm hoping this will eventually translate into some serious competition for the super industry.

Just saw on their blog that they are now open to Chinese residents for US listed stocks. Well done straya, a communist country with capital controls is proving to be easier to access roll

Re: Tech firm aiming its sights at brokers: Robinhood - free brokerage

any recent feedback from Australian users?

Currently interested in stacking low grade Aussie 37 Crowns, $100- $200, 66 50s, pre florins, PM rolls boxes 1oz Lunars etc.
I share your concerns with pricing generally I use a modest spot + % model to value my purchases.
I also consider the price, postage, availability and number of items on sale.
Please establish a competitive industry buy and sell price and where possible I will meet you 1/2 way Cheer$

Re: Tech firm aiming its sights at brokers: Robinhood - free brokerage

Whats the go with money in my account but not invested. It says they invest it and keep the interest.

What happens if they go under while my un-invested money is in their cash management account?

WTB 4 to 6 grams of pure gold. Don't care if it is coin, bar or granules. Near spot, suits anyone who has been tempted to open a certicard or just have some granules to make a ring

Re: Tech firm aiming its sights at brokers: Robinhood - free brokerage

They have launched a premium service, Robinhood Gold.

http://blog.robinhood.com/news/2016/9/28/robinhood-gold

Robinhood Gold unlocks:

Pre & After Trading Hours: Once reserved for institutional investors, extended trading hours let you trade before the opening bell and well after the closing bell — an extra two and a half hours of access, every day.
Additional Buying Power: Gold Buying Power is money that we lend to you to buy stocks, giving you the equivalent of a line of credit for the stock market. You get up to 2x your buying power so you can invest more, and keep any profits. More information on our Help Center.
Bigger Instant Deposits: Take advantage of Instant Reinvesting, which lets you access proceeds from a stock sale immediately, and Instant Deposits, which eliminates the three day wait period for funds to transfer from your bank into Robinhood.

I've emailed them and hoping to get a reply on the Australian launch.
