eBay bargains thread

If you haven't got the cash, but see a bargain on ebay (under spot or close to spot), post it here!

Please keep comments to a minimum and just post bargains as you see them.

I'll kick it off:

Aussie $200 gold coin at spot + post

Re: eBay bargains thread

Been some 2009 1oz koala's consistently selling at $36-$37 (postage $5.50 but combine multiple items for free). Not under spot but still a bit of a bargain if anyone can't afford to be buying in bulk.

Re: eBay bargains thread

could I suggest if you want to help out the ss community with this that the thread be in a members only area

as one who likes landing bargains on eBay, I wouldn't appreciate 10000 lurkers getting a heads up on something I am bidding on

That's not a bad idea at all. Although I'm sure the members will still swoop if the price is right!

So just for the elites huh ? If you can call them that

It amazes me that people whinge & whine about the big end of town having priviledges & theyre own system then they come & do it here .One thing for someone & something else for the others . I say give everyone the same options. It smells like shit to me .

Just as the big players the rich get richer & the poor stay poorer..

I'l be the first to say it because no one else has This trading floor & special bargains is BS everything should be available to everyone .. So if your a small stacker with not much money & a limited budget you cant access the so called bargains because you didnt make a one ounce donation ? It stinks  . They are the ones who need it most & cant afford the donation.

If i was a seller i wouldnt limit my options by listing it there anyway i would want the most people to have access to it as possible .

Im not saying this because im  missing out ive stopped buying ive got my fill of PMs so im missing out on nought . Theres a a few members that i speak to on the phone that tell me about whats on sale anyway .

I know this isnt going to be popular with some but personally i couldnt give a crap........... hypocrites  roll

Re: eBay bargains thread

renovator, lurkers usually means people who DON'T login or register to SS.

As usual you've gone and misunderstood the post and went off on a tangential rant.

Sections such as General Discussion & Real Estate are not visible to lurkers and are visible to 'members only'.

If trew wanted to say premium members only like trading floor he would've said it.

Re: eBay bargains thread

I think by "members" trew means all forum members, but excluding the "available to public forum"
I don't object to the general public missing out, if they can't be bothered to even join the forum.

oops, what Fishball said. (took so long to write this, Fishball was there when I got back! big_smile

Re: eBay bargains thread

If auspm said that regarding property you'd be all over him, so thought it was funny when you said that.

There is no inherent right to using this forum or any other forum, it's a privilege.

Just like owning property.

vvvvv looks like I struck a nerve lol vvvvv

Going off topic so I cbf.

So now your a mindreader too & know what i would say ? your still a dickhead. Since when have i ever said or even implied that houses are or should be limited to exposure to buyers?  Houses are & always will be available to everyone to see unless its an underhanded backroom RE deal between agents & an employee..Your just talking crap trying to make me look bad .

Now your talking rights to use the forum ...& you talk about me going off on a tangent .

I'l stand by what i said earlier  I thought the pm general discussion was only for members so my mistake no big deal .What i said still stands. Now go polish your pandas   big_smile

Re: eBay bargains thread

When will this rule ever be applied to this forum?

Forum Etiquette:

2. Be respectful to fellow forum members in your postings. Silver Stackers is an online community - not a flaming forum. Hateful, racist, vilifying, discriminatory, threatening, inflammatory, malicious, defamatory or libelous posts will be deleted, and the account of the forum member responsible may at the discretion of the Administrator be suspended or terminated. KEEP IT CLEAN!

No doubt I will be attacked now

Basically, it's a tinfoil hat bonanza that's heavy on hype and short on substance.

Well if you meant only 'buy it now' items then no problem.

renovator wrote:

As others have pointed out I meant all registered members, not just those with access to the trading floor.
Well that's my opinion anyway.  Doesn't make me a hypocrite.

Re: eBay bargains thread

I think this is a great idea, rbaggio, but maybe we should start a new thread .. this one looked smells all funky now neutral

... and no doubt going to turn off any new readers to the thread...

Lets just stick to listing bargains people .. save your commentary for another thread

Re: eBay bargains thread

Yes agree.  It was a great idea but now there is a whole page of shit to turn others away instead of good links.
Start a new one, have GP delete the crap if it starts again

Re: eBay bargains thread

OK here you go:

Bradman bi-metal going for 92% of spot delivered - Buy it Now.  Contains .27 ozs of gold and a little silver.

I'm not prepared to buy myself as seller hasn't sold much since mid 2010 and hasn't sold coins before, but somebody else might be more adventurous than I am.

The highlighted bit makes me nervous.

Some ebay listings are bargains for a reason....often a criminal one.

I would hate to unwittingly cause somebody to get ripped off due to me recommending they buy a dodgy bargain. If you have bought from the seller and can confirm they are all good then go for it if you see a good thing for sale, but otherwise I would not.

Re: eBay bargains thread

I don't think this thread is about recommending a seller only directing attention to an item of interest.

It still all come down to your own due diligence prior to any purchase.
