So all we need is badon to arrive here from LBC and the little info that I do contribute will be even more insignificant ![]()
This forum has phenomenal members … after the heated debate a few days ago I have had some time to reflect and as usual I did say things that I probably should have not. That is the problem with communication via electronic texts; opinions conveyed may be interpreted out of context of what the original poster was attempting to express.

So I'm working at my desk right now and my email pops up from wifey at home feeding Tinky and I get this pic of my lil man eating breakfast and then looking closely I notice he has pandas on his shirt ![]()
Since this pic has pandas in it I see no reason why I couldnt post it in here in "panda photos !

Under 10x magnification using my Belomo loupe (
), all the coins had no visible scratches or dings or lint marks. Pretty amazing quality.

Looking good! Keep an eye out for the rounded shoulder 1/2 oz 1996 panda. AFAIK we don't know which variety is more common yet.

A quick scan of eBay shows multiples of both round and straight shoulder from a couple of sellers.
So although there may be slight differences in mintage/price I doubt that there would be a huge gap.
A bit like the 1996 1oz LD/SD which go for similar prices.

Some recent "wins" from my NCS and NGC submissions after joining about a month ago. Besides the 2011 that was cheaper to buy as an MS69, these are all coins I bought at what I considered "bargain" prices (close or equal to OMP rates after grading fees), and submitted after examining in hand (no loupe). I did get a few 68s back, so now, after examining those with a magnifying glass I feel better knowing what to look for in future submissions. These will be the start of my MS69+ personal collection. The photos are quick snapshots, so apologies for not being my best work.

Could be a fair assessment A. The 1 oz LD/SD go for similar prices true, however the est mintages are far from similar, where the SD variety (off the top of my head) is fewer. I think the 96 halves are one of the unknown mintages years, that's why I bought a few off yennus. For the life of me I don't know how they'll work out the rarer variety if any. Still that's something I ve learned about Pandas today... a new variety, exciting stuff!

Jealous of the 1999s. Those bears are pricey.
