Re: Vault Construction

I agree ! how bloody good is that guy.

If this was in Australia there would have been scaffolding, wood supports, steel fixing and it would have taken a week to complete.  The only thing I noticed was ..the weight of those bricks must have been light? otherwise that roof even with the key stone surely would have tumbled in on itself otherwise who ever mixed that cement must have been a scientist smile

Re: Vault Construction

I think the Romans were doing this about 2000 years ago.

Re: Vault Construction

Instead of starting a new thread, thought I'd place a few construction / manufacturing videos which may be of interest.

This video is probably suited to those folk who enjoy watching Blacksmiths at work with very large pieces of steel.

A Chinese forging factory using a massive pneumatic Hammer and producing a large large diameter weld neck flange.

The end result is quite impressive.

Re: Vault Construction

Oroville Dam is the tallest dam in the USA; the Main spillway has been absolutely smashed to pieces.

This is a "very" clear video of the damage; notice the men (Size ratio) top right side of the vid.

The whole area is currently a huge construction site operating 24/7.

They say there's lots of gold which has been washed into the Feather river. (Feather river was - californian Gold rush loc.

Re: Vault Construction

I am subscribed to this guy https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCy4w2O … xTbDZ-bYWQ

He teaches bricklaying in Spain I think.

Every now and then he gets tiny bricks and demonstrates 1:3 sized bricklaying in the classroom.

Would love to get him over here to do some work.
