Re: Today I Bought...

A tin of Royal Australian Mints (made in China). Or maybe it's a tin of raw milkspots before being applied to coins?

Re: Today I Bought...

a bit an unusual offering to aquire collectibles as bullion, I noticed
they started to appear on local market and on Ebay.

I'd say if the mint liquidates imperfect coins in such manner, good on them.
(all the bars/coins I got in the lot have tiny patches of toning/milking)

Unfortunately, only 4 out of the 5 were available, some got faster or that coins had
no imperfections O_o

Re: Today I Bought...

Latest pickups, the 2017 britannia "waves" have imperfections in the same exact spots on each coin that the camera didn't seem to pick up. We won't be getting any more 2017s even if we do find another good deal on them...

Doesn't matter what the press says. Doesn't matter what the politicians or the mobs say. Doesn't matter if the whole country decides that something wrong is something right. This nation was founded on one principle above all else: the requirement that we stand up for what we believe, no matter the odds or the consequences. When the mob and the press and the whole world tell you to move, your job is to plant yourself like a tree beside the river of truth, and tell the whole world "No, you move."

Bought several Queen's Beast coins and really liked the series!
Strange that missed the series before big_smile

PS Beware milk spots on that coins. But I forgave Royal Mint for them because of excellent design of the series )))

I am a huge admirer of the Elemetal Mint American landmark series....it must be the patriot in me.  I also really like the Cleopatra round as well.

Thanks for sharing the videos.

I'm sorry to hear about your channel being killed....that really sucks. You are very fortunate that the Japanese YouTuber saved some of your videos.

Even I, living in Russia, admire craftmanship of that rounds for such a reasonable price! And I really respect those who made all National parks (I mean real ones!) in USA. They were very smart people!
As we say in Russia "Первый блин - комом" ))) which means "First pancake is always not good".))))
And yes, that Japanise man (woman) saved several of my very first videos. Without him they would be gone forever ((((

PS Where are new coins in American Landmark series?!?!?!?!?!

Re: Today I Bought...

Yes, I know, I know that Perth Mint coins are not very popular in Australia ))) At least I heard about it many times.
But they are popular in Russia. So this year I decided to buy a roll of 2017 silver Roosters.

It seems Russia likes silver more than UK, USA and Australia )))
Hey, do not be shy! Show your silver and gold  ))) It would be much easier to confiscate it later big_smile:D:D

PS Was very surprised to see the price tag of 250+ USD for this coin at Apmex.

PPS If anybody knows the mintage of bullion version ATBs in 2017, PLEASE share the infro wink

Latest pickups for February, the Mexican medals were a must to add to the collection, not easy to get them outside of mexico but some ebay sellers have started trickling them out.

I went to an auction for the first time yesterday, it was a whole house full of luxury high end chinese antiques, heap is art, English and French furniture heaps of cool silver stuff, I got this cigarette case and Vesta.
My photos don't do it justice. There was a solid sterling silver Porsche 911.. But I missed out on that one.. There was even a taxidermy zebra head.

This was the first auction I'd ever being to and I found it by accident driving down the road and saw a sign saying auction antiques, silver, art... And thought.. I have to go. Experienced people there were quite impressed with what was on offer.
I guess googling your local auction houses would point you in the right direction.
I'm going to start looking for more, it was quite fun.
