Couldn't go past these at the local coin shop for $5 a pop. Cool addition to some Christmas cards this year smile

Re: Today I Bought...

What better way to follow the Bullion Baron's purchase than with some Bullion Baron bullion:

24720_baron.jpg

Courtesy of Mr House, these are one-gram cards from the Baron via 'freesilvercard.com' which unfortunately now seems defunct.  But I scored numbers 88 and 99 (cool) and a little bit of Silver Stackers history.

Plus a nice 1oz Libertad and a couple of Lunars but so what, we've all seen those before!

Re: Today I Bought...

I just pulled the trigger on some Perth Mint 1 oz Silver Dragon & Phoenix
50,000 mintage.

Does this mean I own 2% of Australia's allocation of apparently 5000 WooHoo cant wait to get them.

Anybody else picked some up and like them?

I bought a roll and I know quite a few others here have bought them in various quantities. I can't really believe the allocation for Australia is so low as they come in and out of stock quite regularly from most the online retailers I frequent.

I'm planning to give them to friends as wedding presents but I suppose I'll hang on to a few in case they 'shoot to da moon'.

Bugger I just got an email my supplier has sold out & forgot to remove this item off of their website. So my order has been cancelled.
I am gutted to say the least.

Re: Today I Bought...

Yeah I grabbed one of the Dragon Phoenix coins too just for the sake of having one in my collection. It's a nice coin, but I think there's just a little too much going on - you really need to focus on it to see everything as opposed to the design standing out and being easily readable

I know of a few dealers who are still advertising them so they're still available

I was in at Gold Stackers just before their xmas break and the guy I regularly deal with their told me he was pretty sure they had a bunch that they were holding back on and planned to sell in Jan. They open tomorrow so maybe keep an eye out on their site this week

Re: Today I Bought...

Thanks m8
I only use 1 the 1 supplier for my purchases just easier for me that way.
He is going to have a look around tomorrow to see if he can pick them up from 1 of his suppliers.
The design is cool with a few negatives but it's the mintage of 50000 and release of 5000 into Australia that interests me.

I had no doubt the colorized rooster would look stunning, and they didn't disappoint. I know some folks don't care for colorized silver coins but I like most if not all variants of silver coins, and this one is on the list for the collection.

This is another 'looks better in hand' coin. I love the details and vibrant colours.
