No ATM fees

Macquarie Bank is now offering fee-free ATM access at any ATM in Australia. I've signed up as part of the beta testing, I did a balance enquiry at an ANZ terminal, cost $2, then withdrew some cash, cost me $2, Macquarie then reimbursed my account the $4.

You'll also pay no international purchase fees when you shop with your Macquarie Debit MasterCard overseas or online.

Won't make you wealthy but it'll help manage your costs.

Hmm.  It's gotta go this way sooner or later...  one hopes.

Any other fees?  Account-keeping, etc?  Do you know what excange rate you get for currency conversion (or that's likely standard across all MasterCards)?

Re: No ATM fees

When I get a chance I'll check the T+Cs.

Re: No ATM fees

1 If an ATM operator in Australia charges you a fee, we will rebate that fee to your account. Terms and conditions apply and are available online. We may change or withdraw this offer at any time.

2 Cash must be withdrawn in a single transaction at a point-of-sale (e.g. EFTPOS) terminal in Australia. This offer applies for the first 200 eligible withdrawals in a given financial year. Terms and conditions apply and are available online. This offer may be changed or withdrawn at any time by us.
