Re: Anitque gold something?

Figured it out yet? Mary Ann McNamara from Cometvale (born in Moora, WA) was on the electoral roll in 1904 and her occupation was 'home duties' if that's of no help at all tongue http://www.familytreecircles.com/comet- … 38511.html

If it wasn't hallmarked I'd say it was the metal bit that holds the rubber onto a pencil lol

Re: Anitque gold something?

Looks like a napkin holder to me. What's the inside diameter?

Re: Anitque gold something?

I say it holds a scarf. You pull the scarf through the centre etc..??

Also could be part of an old Pen.

Re: Anitque gold something?

Certainly looks like a part - the pen suggestion is probably correct.

Re: Anitque gold something?

I would say like a scarf holder... a WOGGLE?  She may have been in the temperance society, maybe even the scouts and it held a society scarf.  Seems strange to slot it to a lead pencil.... and there would be a set for napkin holders.  Also, would you personally engrave napkins holders?  For me, the engraving may be given when joining the club and serves as proof of membership.

I really like the colour.  Much better than the modern copper pipe rose gold.

Thanks for showing it, it is interesting.

Shiny.

Even though the necklaces aren't for chewing, the chances of your baby gnawing off a bead and choking on it are too high, even if you watch him.
