[GSA] Vault Auction #59 - 2006 Fifa World Cup 1/4oz Gold Proof

Welcome to Gold Stackers' vault auctions!

These are unique or one-off items that don't fit within our normal catalog, offered exclusively on Silver Stackers.

This weeks auction is for a Perth Mint 2006 FIFA World Cup 1/4oz Gold Proof Coin!

This week we have a 1/4oz gold proof coin issued by the Perth Mint for the 2006 FIFA world cup. The proof coin is presented in a black display box with the Perth Mint logo printed on the inside. The coin is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity. The plastic capsule has some small marks/scratches, however the coin itself is in excellent condition.

Starting bid: $460 (inclusive of GST)

Auction ends: 9pm (21:00:00) AEDST Monday, 14th March 2016

Auction terms:
Vendor is Gold Stackers Australia Pty Ltd - all bids are considered a binding offer to buy
Starting bid is the reserve, in Australian dollars
Bid increments to be in whole dollars
Highest bid received before the auction close will be the winning bid, and will be counted as inclusive of GST
All bids must be made by posting on this thread - No private bids will be accepted
Edited posts will be considered void
Available for pickup at our Melbourne office, or will be posted Australia-wide, insured, for an additional $20
Auction is not eligible for international delivery addresses
Buyers details (FULL NAME, address and contact number) to be emailed to [email protected] within 24 hours of the end of the auction for a tax invoice to be issued
Payment is required within 2 business days or the auction will be forfeit (market loss policy may apply)
Payment may be made by EFT online, or cash/credit card in-store. Credit card payments subject to surcharge.
AUSTRAC ID requirements will apply to any sales of $5,000 AUD or higher

I'm confused sad

I thought pure (999) gold didn't attract GST.

Similar to [raw] peanuts.
But, with salt, add 10%.

I look forward to adding to my education :-)

Not quite... If it was released as a proof and sold without reference to SPOT. It will always retain its GST status, even if you throw away the box and (if it was painted) etch the colour off.
