Bullion Baron: Random Charts Thread

61_bullion_baron_header_ss.gif

I'm often doing charts here and there for miscellaneous posts or own benefit. Thought I would start a thread to post any that may be of interest to others.

The first a comparison of the All Ordinaries vs Sydney House prices:

AUD Gold vs Vix

Bit of commentary on an earlier version of this chart: http://www.bullionbaron.com/2011/08/s-d … -gold.html

Can't see AUD Gold falling much while the VIX remains elevated.

Re: Bullion Baron: Random Charts Thread

Generally a dead cat bounce would be a pretty brief rally before continuing down, so not sure I would consider it a dead cat. It was more of a franken-cat bounce... e.g. Fed bought the market back to life temporarily with an elixir...

Re: Bullion Baron: Random Charts Thread

Will the 200 MDA provide support for the price of Gold once more or will we see the price dip below like it did in 2008?

Re: Bullion Baron: Random Charts Thread

BB, could you do one on Aud gold verse US Gold and Aud gold verse AU silver over 10 years?   I still have not figured how to get my chart program to do all this well.
Thanks, if you get a chance.

Hey Willow, I had a look, but Incredible Charts only goes back around 5 years for Gold and 3 for Silver (priced in AUD) so can't do the comparison in that program. I had a look around some other websites and can't find any that have long term AUD prices for the metals AND do comparisons (e.g. I sometimes use Yahoo Charts, but can't bring up long term charts of the metals). Sorry sad

You could do it with excel though, with data from the Perth Mint:

The US dollars and Treasury debt called "risk off" because the global fiat system can only survive as long as that remains the case.

Re: Bullion Baron: Random Charts Thread

Provides a pretty good perspective on the most recent Silver rally. It was stronger than previous spikes, but in my opinion Silver will run significantly higher before the end of the bull market.

Re: Bullion Baron: Random Charts Thread

Not off hand, do you know of any freely available wage data that is capital city or state specific?

Could do national measure of wages in comparison to capital cities I guess, but in my opinion that would be a pretty useless comparison.
