Gold 2 oz lunars

Hey Stackers,

Anybody know what the current price is for the 2 oz gold lunar tiger (S2) and rooster (S1)?

Also, were these released with packaging (Box & COA) or was it just in capsules?

Can't find much info on either, apart from mintage -

Rooster 2,129
Tiger 4,292

Re: Gold 2 oz lunars

If they are bullion, they came in just the capsule (as bullion coins).

Re: Gold 2 oz lunars

rooster (S1) available last I looked at $1900 on goldstackers and bullion money. About finished ebay prices I think. Goldstackers had a $50 discount for full SSkers members.

Edit - oh you probably mean 2 oz in Rooster as well

Re: Gold 2 oz lunars

Nope, we don't have the Roosters, just 1oz S1 Tiger.

So not much more than spot?

Is your estimated price due to low interest in the rooster?

The larger the coin the smaller the premium .
I saw a Dragon 1kg gold earlier this year & they wanted spot + 2%
They were available from the mint at the time for spot + 1.5%

Re: Gold 2 oz lunars

There's a discount being offered in the Trading Floor for Series I (1998) 1oz Gold Tigers - not on 2oz Series II Gold Dragons.

Trading Floor access is available by becoming a premium member (see the Membership link at the very top of the page).

The discount was for full members - those not too tight-arsed to subscribe a 1 oz coin towards SStkers.  The discount was a one-off for that particular product, the 1 oz Tiger S1, although there have been other discounts offered at times for various items..

It's an actual price, at bullion bourse.

Ahh, that would explain the preciseness. Ta
